iFred
I have the famous P5W and I thought it was time for a fresh install of Leo via iDeneb. I was wondering what people checked off on the install and if there was anything other than the BIOS tweeks I should be aware of. I would be appreciative of any detailed help, thanks! mimizone
I installed the iDeneb 10.5.4 on a p5w dh today. here's what I did. my bios was configured for a kalyway before, so I might have some config in there I don't remember. - install the latest asus bios - boot the ideneb dvd - partition my disk using HFS and Master Boot (I left some space for possibly ms windows). - customize the install by selecting: -> Vanilla kernel -> ICHx driver -> ALC882 audio driver -> AppleYukon2 ethernet driver -> no special video driver start the install, and that's it. you should be up and running. for the audio, go to the preferences and make sure the output is Line-out. MilesR
Either of you guys managed to get the wireless working with that board? I've tried a couple of the Realtek drivers from their site, but to no avail. Apart from the wireless mine's working perfectly now (using iAtkos 4i though). Only thing I had to sort out was the gfx card (simply a case of putting my device ID etc. in the relevant kext).

I just tried iDeneba and I used the included Realtek 8187L driver. It worked fine after setting up a profile with the Realtek Client Utility. Al-Baby
Well done iDeneb-using v 1.1 everything works(following the above) except the wake from sleep. I am using a P5W-DH with the latest Bios and a E8400-4Gb Ram and Nvidia Video. Also using Parallels for Windows -all installed on a separate Mac HD. I have several real Macs and I can tell you that apart from the wake problem this is a Mac Pro with XBench of above 200. I have tried everything(Kalyway-iATkos etc) to get it to wake. After sleep the hard disk and DVD wake but screen stays Black-CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO WAKE FROM SLEEP?
