stirucherai
After many failed attempts to start the install finally I managed (Thanks to many posts in InsanelyMac). Now Installation proceeds upto 92% and then hangs at 1586 Sep 1 15:39:03 localhost root[1257]: Running ifcstart 1586 Sep 1 15:39:08 localhost root[1260]: update_dyld_shared_cache Here it just stays like this for hours(I left over night). The system does not respond to mouse or keyboard but the DVD drive is continously read (atleast light is glowing). Tried many times and all times it hangs at the same place. The DVD verification as part of MacOS Install was sucessfully completed. While installing it says it would require 6.9GB. When I reset the computer and checked again through diskutility it shows 5.9GB loaded PLEASE PLEASE HELP My Machine CPU : Pentium 4, 3066Mz CPU Alias : Prescott CPU Setting : G1 Instruction Set : X86, x86-64, mmx, SSE, SSE2, SSE3 Display Chip : ATI Radeon Xpress 200 RAM : 512MB Motherboard ID : GC11020M.86A.1058.2006.0330.1109 Motherboard Name : Unknown Harddisk : Driver Description ST380211AS (Configure SATA as IDE) ATA/IDE Mode : Enhanced Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/123962-kalyway_1052_dvd_intel_amd-install-hangs-at-update_dyld_shared_cache/ Share on other sites
Jakedeg
I'm having the same problem with a JaS 10.5.4 DVD. Anyone come up with a solution for this?
