Seems to run smooth as butter, after I figured out that the disk utility in 10.4.4 doesn't do its job right (required specification of the root device as a boot argument)..

The only issues so far... ATI X300 works fairly well, occasional 'block' but nothing terribly bad and this only happens on occasion.

Audio appears to work (although it says no built-in audio detected?)

Network is NOT working, a major bummer ... The strange thing is, when I first ran the fresh install, it must have found my Dlink wireless PCI card (A G520 plus IIRC) because it asked me which wireless network to connect to and the SSID of my router showed up. However I wasn't able to connect to it (AirPort errors or some nonsense like that). I didn't expect the built-in Broadcom 57xx Gigabit to work, although I've heard some have it running?

From what I can dig up these Dlink use Atheros chipsets. Any remedy to get the network up?

Other than that, everything is perfect. Tiger runs like a champ!

Help/Suggestions gladly appreciated.

Suggestion:

Use the Search function on the forum. Plan on spending a day or two figuring it out.

Well thanks, I did plenty of searching. Haven't found a way to fix this.

I've got the video shored up. Working great.

But the network... it worked on the first boot and hasn't worked since. No idea what the deal is. On that first boot it sees the D-Link 520 as "Built In Ethernet" and the network connects and is fine. After that, it does not work anymore. ???
