HELP with interesting idea

I have sucessfully installed OSX to a partition on an 8GB usb flashdrive HOWEVER I would like to clone/transfer/copy the OSX to my local HDD and keep it bootable. any suggestions?

 

 

attempt #1 (using my working tiger.img of an OSX install):

dd if=tiger.img of=\\?Device\Harddisk0\Partition2 bs=1M --progress

 

was not bootable.

 

 

System Specs:

Dell Latitude D610 Laptop

2GB RAM

1.9 GHz

80GB Seagate internal HDD

Partitions: Windows XP (30gb)
