gearshredder Posted August 30, 2008 Share Posted August 30, 2008 I am having problems completely booting into the OS. I installed using Jas 10.4.8 AMD INTEL ppf1 + ppf2 disc. I fixed the permissions. When i boot, i get into the apple loading screen, and after doing that for several seconds, I get a blank grey screen on main screen and a white screen on my second one. No hard drive activity.. it just halts. booting into safe mode doesnt work. my setup: amd athlon 64 3700+ gigabyte k8n pro (nforce 3) ati radeon x800 any help would be apreciated thx Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

gearshredder Posted September 3, 2008 Author Share Posted September 3, 2008 well i had tried with previous discs, with different computers, realizing at first that i need sse2 when i was trying to put it on a amd athlon 2200+ comp, then i tried with my friends amd athlon 3000+ with asus board.. then i have this disc which gave me the most hope but still doesnt work so.. maybe there is a version out there that like Amd chips better?
