Booting install from USB, How?

I am trying to install Leo from a USB drive (since I keep getting waiting for root device from dvd drive)

Not knowing much about booting from USB I simply extracted the iso to my thumb drive (via windows)

Set my bios to boot from usb, which it did, however reported no OS to boot from and booted normally back into windows.

So first off, how do I make my TD bootable, and once bootable will Darwin just load, or do I have to run any commands??

Thanx!

hmm.. I've never tried it, but there is some info on this thread/tut that was written by SbM. You will need access to another mac/hackintosh in order to do this, so I'm not sure if it will help. It's also for an external HDD, booting off of a thumb drive isn't a very easy thing to accomplish in some cases. http://www.aspireoneuser.com/forum/viewtop...f=14&t=1505

Also, this format tool might come in handy. I've used it to try and make Hiren's BootCD bootable off a flash drive. I'll attach it. Good luck.HPUSBFW.EXE
