I've been eyeing up a Mac Mini for a while but $NZ1240 is just too much for a slow 2GHz intel box IMHO, so I started down the hakintosh path - then I found the closest match to a Mac Mini foot print that I have seen so far, the Acer Veriton Ultra Small Fom Factor: Hardware as follows:

PROC : Intel Core2 Duo Desktop Proc E4600, 2.40 GHz, 2MB L2 Cache 800 MHz FSB

MEMORY : 2GB DDR2 SDRAM memory; Dual-channel support on two SODIMM slots

STORAGE : 320GB SATA HDD; Slim DVD Super Multi drive

CHIPSET : Intel G31 Express Chipset with Intel ICH7

COMM : Intg Gigabit Ethernet LAN, Wireless LAN 802.11b/g

GRAPHICS : Intg Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3100

AUDIO : Intg high-definition audio (5.1-channel)

PORTS : 8 x USB 2.0 (4 front. 4 rear), 1 x Ethernet (RJ-45) port,

Headphone & microphone jack, 6 x HD audio jacks, D-sub VGA port

The whole unit is slightly larger and heavier than a Mini, but takes a full size HDD 8)

I've had a hard time finding accurate information about all of this hardware, but from those who have done it before, does anyone see any major hardware headaches in this setup for a current Kalyway 10.5.2 install? I cant find out any more detail on the integrated NIC's unfortunately - are they a standard part of the ICH7 chipset?
