dorkbydesign. Posted August 29, 2008 Share Posted August 29, 2008 Hello!! This is a new detailed version of the Dell Inspiron 1501 Installations. Patches are included. What you need: Dell Inspiron 1501 Kalyway 10.5.2 AMD/INTEL Patches Patches Sigmatel 9200 and 9200 codecs Callisto Build 003 (auto installing) Quartz Extreme, Core Image Hacks. First, burn a copy of the Kalyway 10.5.2 disc. And shove it into the DVD drive. Install it with basically anything you want and the AMD patches. It will take about 30-45 minutes. After that go to the patches website and download all the patches. In the DMG File, look at the files that are there. Everything should be pretty straight forward. Follow the instructions in each patch's folder. They will tell you what to do. Also, if your USB dosen't work, try booting with the device in. unknowable Posted November 21, 2008 Share Posted November 21, 2008 i have a: dell inspiron 1501 1.5gb ram turion 64 2.0ghz i cant open the DMG file >.< it says .dmg.zip?? i already got the sound to work, but when i connect the headphones is like is not conencted... i cant get the 1280x800 so i need the callisto but i need that one becuz is automatic right? i dunno how to use the other one... unknowable Posted November 21, 2008 Share Posted November 21, 2008 to install the graphics with the callisto: sudo -s cd /Volumes/Dell\ Inspiron\ 1501\ Drivers sudo mv Callisto* /System/Library/Extensions/ sudo chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extensions/Callisto* sudo chmod -R 755 /System/Library/Extensions/Callisto* sudo rm -f /Library/Preferences/com.apple.window* rm -f ~/Library/Preferences/ByHost/com.apple.window* rm -f ~/Library/Preferences/ByHost/com.apple.pref* when i type ---> cd /Volumes/Dell\ Inspiron\ 1501\ Drivers it says this: bash-3.2# cd /Volumes/Dell\ Inspiron\ 1501\ Drivers bash: cd: /Volumes/Dell Inspiron 1501 Drivers: No such file or directory i ignore that step and continue... this is the way i did it: Snapshot_2008_11_21_08_50_52.tiff now i reboot and still 1024x786 resolution Snapshot_2008_11_21_08_54_57.tiff can anyone help me with this? Timinator94 Posted December 18, 2009 Share Posted December 18, 2009 @unknowable) I am having the same display issues as well as my sound is jumpy, and kalyway takes 6+ minutes to boot.... although osx is very snappy after that....
