zAo
Hi, I got my new Intel G45 mainboard DG45ID. The board has a "82567LF-2" NIC, but the Intel driver section says "Intel Pro Connection Driver". So I inserted the DeviceID "0x3a4c8086" (how do I know if this is the correct ID?) into IOPCIMatch key value at Info.plist from AppleIntel8255x.kext, but nothing happend after the reboot. I did remove the cache. I did a `lspci -v` on Linux which provided the following information on the NIC: 00:19.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82567LF-2 Gigabit Network Connection Subsystem: Intel Corporation Device 5002 Control: I/O+ Mem+ BusMaster+ SpecCycle- MemWINV- VGASnoop- ParErr- Stepping- SERR- FastB2B- DisINTx+ Status: Cap+ 66MHz- UDF- FastB2B- ParErr- DEVSEL=fast >TAbort- <TAbort- <MAbort- >SERR- <PERR- INTx- Latency: 0 Interrupt: pin A routed to IRQ 223 Region 0: Memory at ff900000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=128K] Region 1: Memory at ff960000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=4K] Region 2: I/O ports at f0e0 [size=32] Capabilities: [c8] Power Management version 2 Flags: PMEClk- DSI+ D1- D2- AuxCurrent=0mA PME(D0+,D1-,D2-,D3hot+,D3cold+) Status: D0 PME-Enable- DSel=0 DScale=1 PME- Capabilities: [d0] Message Signalled Interrupts: Mask- 64bit+ Queue=0/0 Enable+ Address: 00000000fee0300c Data: 4132 Capabilities: [e0] Vendor Specific Information <?> Kernel driver in use: e1000e Kernel modules: e1000e Any suggestions on how I can make this thing work? Cupid
You are using the Intel 8256x series chip. There is no driver in this time and the AppleIntel8255x.kext doesn't work on this chip too. Carlos Pombo
After updating BIOS from 0077 to 0079 my DG45ID become unstable. Unfortunately can't downgrade BIOS... as read me txt states. So be aware before updating BIOS. Im Querying Intel now to see if and how to Downgrade BIOS Until then have to deal with frequent freezes. every time multitask work increase , system freeze and have to hard reboot Carlos Edit: If you are running vanilla with chameleon v1.0.11 version DFE 123 for HD, just drop kext Intell82566MM inside /Extra/Extensions folder. No need to install into /S/L/E. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/122937-intel-82567lf-2-lan/#findComment-929020 Share on other sites
