sith7 Posted August 25, 2008 Share Posted August 25, 2008 Hello, I am currently not happy with the many Great hacked distro's, it seems there is always something that is broken, so my intention is to use the information from these threads(following) to use boot-132 and a retail leo disk to install the OS to my two disk raid0 striped volume. Native Raid Guide http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=76404 Boot-132 Guide for p35-ds4 with chameleon http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=115877 Using the P35-ds4 iso, on my p35-ds3r when I try to boot hdd "80" after i get the installation fail message it won't boot into the os that is on the raid volume, I've even tryed to boot into kaly on a different disk and run the chameloen loader but this didn't help, in fact it made the pc freeze at the verifying dmi pool msg. So basically i'm looking for direction, I believe my error is in the application of the post-patch.sh, whenI boot into kaly, after leo is installed to raid, how do I properly apply the post patch? also how should i have my bios configured for the raid volume?? which drive should be first in the boot order?? thanks for the help, please let me know if more information is needed!! regards, .sith. sith7 Posted August 28, 2008 Author Share Posted August 28, 2008 Ok, so i've gotten everything installed to the software raid volume but the boot-132 boot disc doesn't see the volume, and when i install chameleon it gets to "boot0: done_" and then hangs... what is the trick to booting leopard from software raid?? thanks, sith.
