Hi!

I'm trying to install JaS 10.5.4 on my Acer Aspire One.

Full lspci for the One is available here: http://linuxfr.org/~bubar/26973.html and in more detail here: http://pastebin.fr/2237

I tried to install it twice:

First try, I checked the following:

- X11

- Chipsets Drivers/Intel-ICHx

- Audio Drivers/AzaliaAudio

- Device Identification/Atheros Wireless Adapter

- SMBIOS/Superhai's SMBIOSResolver

===> hangs, black screen

Second try, I checked the following:

- X11

- Kernel Packages/StageXNU

- Chipsets Drivers/Intel-ICHx

- Audio Drivers/AzaliaAudio

- Device Identification/Atheros Wireless Adapter

- SMBIOS/SMBIOS-MacBook

===> hangs (but no black screen)

If one of the experts round here could help me find suitable options for this machine, given the lspci output for the machine, then it would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

EDIT:

Someone on IRC told me that the output from "ioreg -w 0 -l | grep pciclass" would be useful too, so here goes:

ioreg.txt

And the output from "lspci -vn" as well:

lspcivn.txt

Try SMBIOS mac pro or if you can the newest netkas SMBIOS and if possible Hook your HD in to another machine and copy the ATA/SATA kext from an older version of leo like ToH to the extensions folder on the drive from your acer and give it a run

Thanks for the reply bigdaddyrob2g, it's finally booting now after changing my install options. But it now hangs later...

Here's what I've tried:

*3rd try:

- X11

- Kernel Packages/StageXNU

- Chipsets Drivers/Intel-ICHx

- Older Drivers/IOUSBFamily

- Audio Drivers/AzaliaAudio

- Device Identification/Atheros Wireless Adapter

- Device Identification/Intel ICH7 to ICH9 AHCI Controller

- SMBIOS/Superhai's SMBIOSResolver

===> gets past the "BSD Root major=xx minor=xx" line, but hangs when it tries to load the GUI (black screen with a non-moving mouse pointer in the upper left corner)

*4th try :

- X11

- Kernel Packages/StageXNU

- Chipsets Drivers/Intel-ICHx

- Older Drivers/IOUSBFamily

- Audio Drivers/AzaliaAudio

- Plugins/ACPIPS2Nub

- Plugins/AppleACPIPowerSource

- Device Identification/Atheros Wireless Adapter

- Device Identification/Generic PS2 Nub Version Fix

- Device Identification/Intel ICH7 to ICH9 AHCI Controller

- SMBIOS/SMBIOS-MacPro

===> it now loads the GUI (yeehah !!!), but I get a screen with the picture of a keyboard that says : "Before You Begin... / There is no keyboard connected to your computer. Please connect a keyboard"

Any idea on what I should check in the installer to get it to "see" my keyboard?

Hi, I have an aspire one with the same specs as SbMfr. I tried his install customization with my JaS 10.5.4 install disk and I get this at startup...

Help?!?!?

I figured it out...

Select on install of JaS 10.5.4:

Stage XNU

ICHx

Cleanup

The rest you can do later...
