mickeytwotimes Posted August 24, 2008 Share Posted August 24, 2008 hi all, im attempting to install JaS 10.5.2 intel sse2 sse3 on my hp a6120n, (specs) -- E4400 Core2Duo processor 2Ghz/800Mhz FSB. -- 3.5Gb 667 PC-5300 RAM. (kinda wierd, i know) -- 945G/ICH7-DH controller. -- Nvidia 9600gt (512Mb) in 16x PCI-E slot. (basic display works) -- ALC888S onboard audio controller. -- attempting to install on 500 GB sata II on sata port 3 -- SATA controller mode is AHCI. -- Onboard GMA950 is diabled in the BIOS. -- Onboard Intel 82562V NIC almost everytime i boot, i get -> >localhost kextd[47]: can't add repository (not a directory) >resetting IO catalogue. >localhost kextd[47]: root filesystem is read-only; skipping kernel link data generation >localhost directoryservice[52]: launched version 5.0 (v514) >localhost diskarbitrationd[44]:unable to mount /dev/disk0s1 (status code 0x0000047). >localhost diskarbitrationd[44]:unable to mount /dev/disk0s3 (status code 0x0000047). >localhost diskarbitrationd[44]:unable to mount /dev/disk3s1 (status code 0x0000047). (this, i am sure, is my external HDD) then it freezes in place like every time. Does anyone have any idea what i can do to get this install started? i have tried many of the switches (-v, -legacy, -f) to no avail. thanks in advance p.s. i have the retail dvd 10.5.4 but i didnt know i needed mac os to get it patched.
