Zaphod Beeblebrox
Hi, I have a an install of 10.5.3 running successfully on a gigabyte ep35-ds4 mobo with an 8800 GTS 512mb card. I used Carbon Copy Cloner to duplicate my hard drive to a second internal hard drive. CCC reports clone successful, but when I try to boot from the clone the computer stops at the 'Verifying DMI Pool' screen and goes no further, even with the original drive disconnected. Any tips on how to resolve this would be appreciated. tia, zaphod Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/122598-ccc-clone-of-install-wont-boot/ Share on other sites
SticMAC™
I'ts normal CCC will make a Apple drive bootable! All you need to do is run Chameleon or efi_V8(whichever one you used to get the original one to boot) on the new drive! Zaphod Beeblebrox
Thx for your reply. The install was created using the kalyway 10.5.2 install dvd and upgraded using the kalyway 10.5.3 combo update. I'm not sure whether to use chameleon or EFI V8 or how to go about doing so.
