badbonez
Hey all, anyone else have a problem with itunes and editing smart playlits? When I select a smart playlist (such as recently added) and go to FILE>Edit Smart Playlist nothing happens. When I boot up my windows XP drive and edit smar playlist, I get a window with a bunch of options regarding that list. I'm using Iatkos V4i, and iTunes ver. 7.7. Seems that everything else works but this one thing. Anyone have an idea as to what the problem may be? Thanks! schwamm
Is anyone else having problems with iTunes? I'm having trouble streaming music through the itunes store. My entire computer freezes if I try to listen to a clip. star5
There's no news about this on the uphuck forums. Any one find a work around for this? I tried switching to Songbird 0.7 which now has smartplaylists, but it takes up twice the cpu resources as iTunes, so I ditched Songbird. EDIT: Found a solution=earlier version of iTunes I thought an earlier version of iTunes might make the difference, and it did. I uninstalled 7.7.x and installed 7.5. Smartplaylist editing works! To help with uninstall, I used a program called AppTrap. I think it can be found on versiontracker.com. Also, I had to remove the iTunes playlist file, because between 7.5 and 7.7 they're not compatible. Has anyone tried the most recent Iatkos jmicron patch and seen results? Thanks for the idea of going to an earlier version, but I just got my playlists the way I like. What I really am concerned about is the fact that this may just be a 'tip of the iceberg' problem and there may be other issues. star5
Yes, I'm using jmicron sata. What iAtkos patch are you talking about? I used the one on the DVD install. How did you get playlists to your liking? Did you do that using 10.5.2 iAtkos? Is anyone who is having this problem using jmicron sata controllers? Eloquence
Interesting my motherboard uses the ICH9R southbridge controller (Asus P5K-E WiFi). Dunno if that's jmicron or not? I'm using Iatkos V4i but I saw something on a torrent site that seems to have been a new patch but I have no idea if that's true as the Uphuck forums are down. I can create normal playlists in Itunes, I just cannot edit the Smart Playlists.
