toledoj
Hey everyone, I'm basically a noob at this stuff so far. I have the Jas 10.4.8 SSE2 and SSE3 Intel/AMD iso. It booted up fine and everything, but when i came to disc utility, I couldnt see my harddrive with the partitions that i made prior to the boot. Any help would be really appricieated. I have vista home premium, when i partitioned my harddrive for the mac partition i made it 25gb and fat32. I have a hp dv6500 laptop. Here are some screenshots of cpuz of my pc: Thanks a ton, toledoj Make Sure to Check Out My Website!!! Greetings From Austria! soccerman123
Hi guys, I have the exact same problem, my harddrive won't show up either in disk utility. I have a Hp Pavillion DV6904CA Laptop. I loaded the iso , JaS.Mac.OS.X.10.4.8.AMD.Intel.SSE2.SSE3.PPF.1.Defiant.diskutil.biker880.ich7-R.patch.Integrated, to a dvd and the startup worked fine. I followed the tutorial on youtube I created a partition of my harddrive, its 298 gb, the partition was 78 gb NTFS , then I marked the partition as active using the command prompt diskpart list disk select disk 0 list part select part 3 active exit Then i shutdown my pc and pressed f9 to boot options and selected cd/dvd rom, The installer boot up , it took about 7, or 8 minutes. The harddrive wasn't there so I went to disk utility and it wasn;t there either. It showed the dvd rw drive then the mac os install disk below it but there was no harddrive. I read on the internet that the NTFS dosnt work on mac or something, so i deleted the 78 gb partition and created a 24 g b partition of FAT32. Did the same steps as before and it didnt recognize it either under disk utility. Has anybody else had this problem and found a solution. Any help would be great Thanks a lot Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/122327-my-harddrive-doesnt-show-up-in-disk-utility-help/#findComment-870652 Share on other sites
Oracle67
nForce common known problem. Use a USB stick to install on it (a 16Gb it can be a full installation), i don't remember but i think that you can find some fixes for the Disk Utility.
