Okay guys..I spent my whole day to figure out this problem and I'm very tired.

My specs..

ASUS P4p800

Celeron (supposed to be D but not showing anywhere, only on the CPU itself) 2.4mhz 533mhz FSB

AC97 Audio

BENQ DVD/RW

2x256 Corsair 333mhz

Maxtor 30gb (for OSX of course, I have a TOSHIBA 120gb and it is also not working on this HD)

Additional Info

HD is in FAT32

HD is set to be the primary master and DVD set to secondary master

Jumpers are all OKAY

rd=disk0s1, rd=disk0s2,rd=disk1s3, -x, -v and even debug doesnt work

I have the 10.4.4 and an older version that still does the same thing

This is a >PATCHED< DVD

I even tryed to format in a darwin partition, and the hella installer still don't want to pass this error. I'm really bored..and I think that I'm not the only one in this situation.

Thanks for helping..Hope I will get quick response.

p.s; is the forum slow only for me?

Mike

EDIT : Drives are IDE 133mhz

Quick question to anyone out there...a really dumb question considering I built my own system :x.

Is it possible that a SATA drive doesn't have a spot for a jumper? If it does have a spot for one, it doesn't have a jumper in it...could taking the one from my DVD drive and popping it in solve the problem of the drive not being seen by Disk Utility when I try install 10.4.5?
