loony636
After I installed the 10.5.3 combo update, my computer has entered an endless loop cycle, similar to what happened when I tried to install the Vanilla Kernel. I'm running Leo4allv3 10.5.2 with the 9.2.0 Kernel. I followed the guide, deleted the AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext and changed the line in the "1" file, and the installation completed successfully. But now, no matter what options I put in, it displays a few lines of code for a few seconds and then instantly restarts. I'm guessing that it might be something to do with the SATA hard drive set up on my computer. I can't be sure, though, and I don't know how to fix it if that was the case. A quick note: when I installed any Vanilla Kernel, it had this same restart issue. Are the issues related? Is there a solution? Gujal
10.5.3 does replace your kernel with 9.3.0 vanilla. So if your machine couldnt run vanilla before, you have hit that issue with the update. You need to get modbin patched 9.3.0 kernel and install it by booting from the OSX86 DVD or from Windows using MacDrive Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/122033-restart-loop-following-1053-update/#findComment-866936 Share on other sites
