Unless you are talking about installing OS X on PC laptops by means of osx86, in which case, you really have to specify what kind of laptop you want because there are simply too many different classes of laptops out there. For example, you probably don't want us to recommend a 20" laptop that works OOB when you are looking for ultraportables. But anyway check out http://wiki.osx86project.org because it has many laptops under the "Portables" section, detailing what exactly works and what don't and etc. Also, if you look around in the forums, you would find many common laptops like Dell Inspirons that people have gotten to work. There's even a Dell Laptop post-installer in the works somewhere, I recall.
