nitro2k01
I have a P4 Northwood (Which is the last model before 64-bit was supported) running on an EP-4PLAI motherboard. (If that helps) My graphics card is a Geforce 6600. My problemis that I can't boot 10.5.x. 10.4.x works, but whenever I try to boot a 10.5.x DVD, the computer just does a warm reboot. I have tried the -x option at no avail. My theory is that perhaps the 10.5.x kernel assumes that a P4 must be a 64-bit CPU and tries to init 64-bit mode? I'm also noticing that in the compatibility list for CPU's for 10.5.2, all supported CPU's (AFAICS) are 64-bit. Is this a co-incidence, orwas 32-bit support somehow dropped in 10.5.2? Edit: Another theory. Perhaps I need an NX patch? If so, where do I find one? Volcacius
you have too force the system to boot in 32 bit mode with the string -legacy during the boot.
