jizzle
Hi Everyone, I juz have a quick question, I'm running Leo4all v.3 10.5.2 and using FIREFOX 3, my problem is dat firefox crashes after running for about 20 minutes then starts the chain reaction crashes every running application and eventually causes the system to restart. I've noticed that if i run transmission or any other bit torrent client along side with firefox crashes happen more often. I read dat crashes could happen because of firefox extensions, but i even tried running firefox without extensions (clean install of firefox) still no luck. and no, firefox 2 does the same thing. My sys specs:- chipset:- nForce (used nForce kext while install) Vid. Card:- ATI Sapphire X1650 Pro PCIe (used dionsys modified kext) Audio:- Onboard (STAC) Network:- D-Link (used kext from D-link website) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/121863-solved-firefox-crashes/ Share on other sites

jizzle
it wasn't my kernel after all, dere was a problem wid AppleACPIPlatform.kext, i did a clean install of leo4all v3 and chose the AppleACPIPlatform.kext (old) fix, dat seems to have fix the problem, well atleast so far Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/121863-solved-firefox-crashes/#findComment-865649 Share on other sites

It was my network card drivers that were causing the problem imo. I was using a D-Link 530TX or something like that and i got the drivers for it from d-link.com which were written for 10.2. I just took out my D-link and now using onboard network card, firefox running smooth so far and hopefully this is the end of this problem.
