Kalyway small black screen of death HELP

OK i got kalyway for AMD successfully downloaded to a disk. when I put the disk in the drive and load to the installer and type -x -v -f rd=disk0s1, it goes to a big text font for a while, then gets smaller. I read that if you push enter a lot you can get the cursor to move, but I tried that like 300 times and it didn't work. my emachines specs are here http://support.gateway.com/emachines/emac/...14999Rsp3.shtml

i attached images of the black screen of death. On this forum, I also found if I attach an IDE hard drive to my computer, it'll work, but I'm on a tight buget, so if anyone knows any free fixes PLEASE POST!
