PolskaBro1824
I am buying another hard drive so it can be my sole OSX drive (and leave Windows MCE 2005 on my 160GB) I was wondering if all hard drives always work with AF formatting and OSX. It seems all ATA drives say right on the box that they work but on SATA boxes I've looked at it doesnt say. My hard drive now is a Seagte 160GB Barracuda SATA and it works so I'm unsure if they all work or not. Here is the drive I am buying.. http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetai...ctCode=100718-8 Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/12164-sata-hard-drives/ Share on other sites
macgirl
What depends on Mac OS to see a disc or not is not if it is SATA or PATA, depends on which chipset is on. Working chipsets for SATA are Intel, some VIA, and with a modification of the VIA kext som nForce 3 and 4 chipsets. Check the WIKI page for working hardware. Also, use the correct forum.
