(As in the mouse 'spins' and the windows are unresponsive) The normal force quit does now work. I don't get as many errors like this when I restore about 10-200 megs at a time. I have a dv6885se. NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN Intel Core 2 Duo T8100 / 2.1 GHz Also, based on this, what choices should I chose if I reinstall with JaS_10.5.4? I was able to figure out kalyway, but not this. That, or can I upgrade? I've tried to and failed. Also, to add on to everything else, I've bought a family pack of OSX. Maybe a re-install without those will help? Although I did restore from Time machine in segments, I would like to figure it out so I can safely copy lots of files.
