Juxta Posted August 16, 2008 Share Posted August 16, 2008 hi all, system is a Dell Precision 380 running kalyway 10.5.2. the onboard audio is ac97 Intel HD Audio. i believe it's a sigmatel using STAC 9221 A1 from windows i got the following ; 8086&DEV_27D8&SUBSYS_01A81028 i downloaded the AppleAC97Audio.kext from the drivers section and added the following value under primary string, 0x808627D8 (is this the correct value based on the windows info?) set permissions etc and rebooted. audio worked perfectly.under the output tab it had subwoofer and HD Audio. it worked for about half an hour in which time i rebooted a few times. anyway, then all of a sudden it was gone and i haven't been able to get it working again. i repeated my steps, rebuilt the os but still can't get it to work. any thoughts would be much appreciated. thanks.
