JustInSane
I installed this driver by mistake: http://xterasys.com/files/XN2122b_MAC_Driver_20040504.zip It installed successfully, but I overlooked some hex editing that I needed to do before installing it. So I edited the hex on the source package, and attempted to reinstall the driver. The Reinstallation failed, presumably because the unhacked driver was still there. So I removed fastvnetusb5052958.kext along with Extensions.mkext and Extensions/Cache/com.apple.kext.info, rebooted, and the reinstallation attempt still failed. How do I remove this driver completely? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/121235-how-can-a-driver-be-removed/ Share on other sites
westwaerts
go to look for kexthelper 0.7, to install kexts, rebuild extensions.mkext, for removing just delete it, run kexthelper ( advanced) for rebuild, and shutdown or restart. should work.
