manmal Posted March 15, 2006 Share Posted March 15, 2006 Hi, i applied jas 4.2b patches for 10.4.3 8f1111a , and the installation went perfectly (no errors or warning). Boot is ok, but when OSX is launched , it is unstable like hell and almost any application crashes when launched (even ppf o' matic or safari, or even system preferences). Has had anyone problems like this (solved now) and may try to help me ? My machine is a p4 2.6 ghz northwood with hyperthread (800 mhz bus) and an asus p4p800 deluxe motherboard and an ati 9000 pro agp videocard and udma harddrive (no sata) . 10.4.4-hotiso is a bit better, but many applications crash too . I tried to replace patched kernel for sse2+nonx only (without cpuid and rtc) , but i canot even boot the system properly with such patched kernel. Any ideas on how to make OSX system more stable with its applications ? I tried to search forum and i did not find any useful informations on how to solve these problems.
