bigj425 Posted August 15, 2008 Share Posted August 15, 2008 I was just wondering what people would say is the easiest HD graphics card to intall in Kalyway 10.5.3/4? I know there are probably quite a few but if I am just looking for a good value card that can play hd quality media in both vista32 and osx and doesnt require too much hacking to install, what should i be lokoing for? I dont do much, if any, gaming and i only have PCI express slots available. Donar Posted August 15, 2008 Share Posted August 15, 2008 Why not try a Sapphire 3870 512MB GDDR4? Worked out of the box for me on Kalyway 10.5.2 DVD with the right drivers selected in setup, even QE/CI works without further hacking. Before that i used a Sapphire 2600 (Pro?) which worked well too. Stay away (for now) from Radeon 3850 as it seems it has issues with newer driver versions.
