no internet on 10.4.6

i treied to use my netgear wg111v2 usb wireless adapter on mac osx 10.4.6 tiger and usb does work but it doesn't recognize it as a wireless device nor can i connect using eternet csn you help please?

 

here are my specs:

AMD Athlon 64 +3800 2.4 GHz

1 GB ram

ATI All-in-Wonder X600 pro with (I Beleve) 512 mb of video ram

biostar nf4u-am2g mainboard

ps/2 generic mouse and keyboard

nVidia nForce 4 chipset

standard gigabit ethernet port

i forgot that my netgear wg111v2 wireless usb adapter is based on the realtek rtl8187 chip it uses 802.11g and is usb 2.0 allong with my comuter
