FULL success: Leo4Allv3 + GAP35DS3 + 8400GT

hey folks,

 

just some feedback from a successful install!

 

 

Motherboard: GA-P35-DS3-R2

GPU: NVidia XFX 8400GT (512MB)

CPU: Intel Core2Duo E8400 @ 3GHZ

HD: Seagate Sata2 250GB

RAM: Corsair 2GB DDR2 @ 800MHZ

SOUND: M-Audio MobilePre

 

Method: Leo4Allv3 without any graphic driver + Leopard Graphics Update + NVInstaller.pkg

 

All working QE, CI, QL, Rotation, Resolutions.

Sound work natively without any driver but M-Audio installer needed for Core Audio.

XBench Score: 180

Thanks for the info, I'm looking for a good hardware combo for a desktop hackintosh.

 

One quick question: are you using a vanilla or hacked kernel?

hey there,

 

hacked kernel, the default in leo4allv3 install disc.

modbin or vanilla kernels were buggy.

 

if you update via kalyway combo, i recommend u to keep the original kernel.

i did some tests after kaly combo, using apple update to 10.5.4 and it was fine too.

 

one strange thing to be noticed:

 

some keyboards are buggy, specially those with media buttons.

i have one with those buttons that showed a strange behaviour: for example, when i pressed alt+T for a new tab on firefox it shutted down the computer!

with a standard ps2 keyboard with no adittional keys, it runs fine!

 

 

i'd like to get a microsoft wireless keyboard, maybe next week i'll be able to get one for testing and get back here with results.
