Hi all,

I've been watching the forums to see if I could find some solution for this but I didn't so I decided to create this topic.

I own an Acer Travelmate 4000, with 10.4.3 my keyboard and touchpad worked very well but on 10.4.5 the keyboard stops working whenever I touch the touchpad or click on one of its buttons.

I removed the ApplePS2Mouse.kext and ApplePS2Touchpad.kext (I think those are the names) from the "plugins" folder of ApplePS2Controller.kext and now I can use the keyboard without worrying with the touchpad.

Anyone knows where I can find the ApplePS2Controller.kext on the DVD? Do I need to install 10.4.3 again to be able to access the kext and try it on 10.4.5? Is there another solution?

Thanks!

hi,

i've got same problem with travelmate 2300 series. I tried the 10.4.3 ApplePS2Controller.kext, installed it properly on 10.4.5, but still havethe exact same problem as before, so I guess the problem isn't with that kext, but with something else (I wouldn't have a clue what though). I'm still trying stuff, but no luck so far. If you find anything, please post it here.

Thanks for replying, it's good to know that I'm not alone with this...

So the 10.4.3 kext is no good, I gess I'll just have to carry an USB mouse with me...

The weird thing is that nothing shows up on the logs when you use the touchpad, so it's hard to know what to try next.
