HackBook Pro
When booting from the iDeneb DVD on my AMD 64 box, after "jettisoning kernel linker", the screen gets spammed by the '7' character. After the installer loads, I opened a terminal to have it spammed with 7s. What is wrong? I have a PS/2 keyboard and a USB mouse. My motherboard is a MSI K8N Neo3-F (nForce 4). HackBook Pro
I booted up the DVD, then unplugged the keyboard, and it still spammed 7s. Why the number 7? What is wrong? Should I just get a USB keyboard (or PS/2 to USB converter)? JoshDV
Has anyone found a fix to this? I have a Gateway T-6815 laptop running Leopard and I get the same error with the built in keyboard. The number seven simply repeats until I hit the key. The key isn't sticky and I know I'm not the only one with this problem. Does this have to do with a bad kext or what? Any solution to this since this last post? I haven't found anything new since then... I have a Dell Vostro 1510 and sometimes even hitting the key doesn't do anything. The keyboard and trackpad become unresponsive and even plugging in a USB keyboard does nothing. The only solution is to plug in a USB mouse to shutdown. If I am typing and a random 7 pops up or it starts missing my keystrokes, that usually is the time to restart the computer before 7 starts to go crazy. It usually starts after the computer has been on for awhile too.
