RMFX
Hi guys, My 'Mac' is booting up slower than I would expect. It always takes almost exactly 1 minute 25 seconds to start up to the desktop from the darwin loader. Everything goes pretty quickly until it gets to the appleNforceATA part of the startup and it pretty much freezes there for over a minute and all disk activity stops. It will then suddenly start up and work perfectly from that point onwards. Does anyone have any ideas on how to speed this up? I've installed OSX to an old PATA drive, would it start up any quicker if I installed it on a faster SATA drive or is it something else that's causing it? AMD 5400+ X2 ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe 2GB 667 Kingston RAM Thanks in advance guys. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/120926-slowish-boot/ Share on other sites
