Really slow installer 10.5.4

I tried to install Leopard on my machine and when getting to the language selection, after clicking the arrow, it sits there and i have to wait hours before getting to the Welcome screen.

I tried the Zephyroth 10.5.2, the LawlessPPC 10.5.4 and even iDeneb 10.5.4 and all do this.

 

My configuration is as follows

 

Turion 64 ML-34 1.8GHz

1GB DDR1 Ram

Via K8M890 chipset

X700 PCI-E 128M Graphics

160G PATA HDD

RTL8169 Gigabit LAN

BCM4318 WiFi

 

If somebody out there has a clue, please help me.
