DarkZero80
Okay well I got my JaS MacOSX 10.4.8 ISO and burned it to a dvd. It burned successfully. Then I put in my disk drive and restarted my computer. I select to boot from a CD, but all it does is pause for a bit as if it was reading, then skips on to boot windows XP. What am I doing wrong here? I think I heard somewhere that I needed Darwin 8.0.1 or something. Sorry about the noobish question , I'm new to the whole MAC on PC world, so I might just be doing something stupid. Can anyone please give me instructions or set me on the right path? Thanks in advance! Sorry everyone, I know I should have included my computer specs. I have a HP DV5184EA, which was listed on the compatible computer list on osx86project.org. It has 2gb of ram, 1.83Ghz Intel Centrino Duo, Nvidia Go Force 7400, 160gb HDD etc... And for more specifics on what I see. I see nothing on the screen at all. Just that blinking underscore sign _ at the top as if it was reading the disk, but doesn't boot. FrankOS_Scripting
The miracle receipt: Burn it at the slowest speed (2x ex.), Use UltraIso for burning ISO and use dvd of quality like Sony and Memorex is piece of {censored} Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/120896-my-osx-dvd-wont-boot-please-help-me/#findComment-855747 Share on other sites
