gui3
(i'm new to these installs, and i searched ) I'll try to give as much info as i can. I just installed iATKos v4i (Leopard 10.5.4) on my Thinkpad X61 tablet after reading in another thread that it worked completely. my partitions are like this: 1- recovery partition 2- Vista (pre-installed) 3- OSX i followed this guide, though it's for iATKos v4 http://dailyapps.net/2008/03/hack-attack-d...-windows-vista/ (except that i used easyBCD for the bootloader) at install, i chose these options: CHECK iATKOS v4i Main System CHECK Darwin bootloader i left these unchecked: AppleACPIPlatform.kext Kernel 9.4.0 Darwin X86 for MBR (Non-EFI) Kernel 9.2.0 ToH nForce Kernels (there were three) SMBIOS Drivers (there were three) Patch for PS2 Remove Thermal kexts all VGA Drivers (i have Intel X3100, but i planned to install the driver later) SATA nForce SATA Intel Speedstep ext2fs NTFS-3G all Network Drivers when i boot normally, it hangs at a gray screen. when i boot with -v, i see: Failed to load extension com.apple.driver.AppleAHCIPort 13AppleAHCIPort is not compatible with its superclass, 10IOAHCIPort superclass changed? Failed to load extension com.apple.driver.AppleAHCIPort Couldn't alloc class "AppleICH8AHCI" Couldn't alloc class "AppleAHCI" ...etc... Still waiting for root device Should i choose different install options? thanks for any help you can give! gkrangers
You may want to try selecting the SATA drivers. I had a root device problem on a different system and installing the SATA drivers solved it. gui3
Change in BIOS Sata "Enhanced Mode" to "Compatible Mode" Screenshot :http://www.hentges.net/misc/howtos/pics/pc1_small.JPG I tried this, and booted into safe mode with -x. OSX booted, but when i tried to reboot in normal mode, i got the same freezing. I guess i'm going to try to do a clean install. this time around i'm going to add the X3100 driver and SATA driver. are there any other options to select?
