Casey M
Hi, i downloaded the new Jas 10.5.4 dvd and im having trouble booting it to the installer. This dvd actually gets passed booting the kernel but i'm getting 'still waiting for boot device'. In the irc they told me to try changing the Master, and Slave drives, i put the hdds and dvd drives all on cable select but still getting the message. Anybody know how to fix it? Also if there isnt a way to fix it could i possibly install it onto the hdd through vmware like you could with tiger before? --Computer Specs-- 1.8Ghz Celeron ASUS P4S533 Mobo SiS 645dx Chipset 1GB Ram 80gb WD IDE HDD 40Gb IDE HDD NEC DVD Burner Hitachi DVD Drive Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/120771-jas-1054-cant-boot/ Share on other sites
cringemaster
Try installing anything mentioning IntelPIIXATA or something like that. I was getting the same problems on a P4SSE2 i845gv. Now it boots fine, just have usb issues and need to find video drivers. Hope that helps :censored2: Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/120771-jas-1054-cant-boot/#findComment-856739 Share on other sites
