I apologize for posting this because I know its been covered BUT I couldn't find it last night and for some reason the search function is not working for me.

I have installed Leopard on my Dell Dimension 5150 before but switched back to linux when I thought mac wasn't running stable on my machine (turns out my hard drive was going bad and all OS's were rebooting themselves.)

I remember finding a solution for getting passed the "installation keyboard loop". It was something along the lines of booting into a user mode? typing a command or 2 and then using the touch command (touch /something/something/.AppleInstallDone

or something along those lines.

I really want to go back to mac but this is holding me back. Now that I only have this one computer in the house, I can't post from another one to find the answer after reformatting.

Thanks in advance!
