MitchsMac
Hey, I have been getting lots of audio pops and clicks on my Presonus FireStudio when recording. I have been searching around a lot and I am aware that people are having similar problems with other sound cards but it seems like I have tried all the recommended fixes I could find with no results. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My computers specs are beyond the recommended ones on Presonus's website. I am using a PCI firewire card made by Texas Instruments as recommended by Presonus. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The problem seems to be because of my video card; Presonus claims that their gear is not compatible with GeForce video cards, and when I don't install any drivers for the card I have no audio problems. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I use an XFX GeForce 8600 GT XXX Edition. I have tried both NVinject and NVinstaller (both worked for changing resolution but made my recordings pop and click). --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The main reason that I want the video card to install is because a higher resolution would save me a load of time in logic, right now I'm forced to use 1024x768 even though my monitor is native at 1680x1050. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas? Would an ATI card fix this problem? kobe nasumaki
hi, i think i have the similar problem. i had my m-audio delta 66 working great with envy24 driver. then, i had the problem with video, geforce 7900 gs - there was no QE. i installed NVKush which enable everything, i was happy only but until i found that the sound turned skippy and glitchy and completely distorted. i think the two interfere with each other, but i have no glue what to do with it...(( edit: resolved by going to midi&audio settings and switching sample rate, it was set 96000. as i switched to 44100, everything went smooth. then i switched back to 96000 and everything is still great. zombiewheel
I've got an XFX Geforce 7300GT dual display installed using an EFI string from UInstall. All working perfectly with my Presonus Firebox (see my other post). Don't most Mac Pros have Geforce cards in them anyway? Sounds like a crock to me.
