thomas93 Posted August 10, 2008 Share Posted August 10, 2008 Hello I recently recieved an old Dell Dimension 4300 as a "spare to play around with" and have always wanted OSX. Seeing as I now have a old PC I can screw up I don't mind doing it Well I have a pretty serious problem, the machine refuses to boot anything accept for it's own recovery discs. I've tried XP, Vista, Ubuntu, Kubuntu, OpenSUSE but it still only acknoledges it's own recovery disc. No booting from USB either. CD drives are in perfect working order, as I said I did get the recovery isc's XP installed without a problem. Any ideas can be tried and I have a whole day off tomorrow so I have plenty of time to play. Thanks.
