I'm seeking a PCI card for my "Weaksauce Hackintosh" that gives Leopard OOB 802.11n and works OOB as Airport.

I bought a Linksys WMP300N from newegg failing to realize that's a 1.0 card, and the 2.0 card (that does work with Leopard OOB) is non-USA.

Doh.

Suggestions are greatly appreciated,

The v1.0 certainly does work in Leo and can be made to work as a real Apple Airport device.

I'll make this offer while I'm feeling kind, send me your card and $10.00, include prepaid return shipping and I'll swap your card for one that the firmware has already been updated to work and be recognized as a real apple AirPort card.

There are a ton of posts here on that topic. Start reading.

The search function has not been working for the past 3 days on Insanely Mac.

Thanks for the offer. I solved the problem by using the Airport Express 802.11n version as a Wired->Wireless Bridge. Allows me to use the Airport Utility for configuration.

If you have a firmware upgrade for the 1.0 that allows full Leopard use and setup as a real Apple Airport device, you should try selling the plans on Ebay  I'm sure you'd make a mint.

Sell the plans???

The software I have to modify these cards is not publicly available, this means I am currently the only one who can make the changes to these cards until the linux community catches up.

If I sold the software and instructions to perform the task, it would be bought once and then distributed via torrents for all the world to use so I wouldn't make a dime, the hacintosh community is proving to be cheap when the majority of the people sacrifice functionality for cheap price, they'd rather struggle with a USB device with an unsupported chipset than pay for a plug'n'play solution.

There should be a greater demand for 11n wireless here than on fleabay since these cards are intended for the hacintosh community, hell I can't even get 50% of what I just paid for a new card (amounts to $50.00) cause it's still too expensive as many people have stated they would rather buy a questionable USB device at Fry's for $40.00 and take their chances on getting a working driver for it.
