cohpanda
Sorry if I should have searched better, but I do not understand why my computer won't boot into the install screen. The basic symptoms are, I put the disc in, hit enter to boot into darwin x86, the mac boot logo comes up, takes about 5 minutes then boots to a blank blue screen without a cursor and I cannot hear the disc spinning anymore. I don't think this is a disc problem because I put the disc into my desktop and it ran just fine throughout the whole installation process. These are the specs of my laptop: 1.86ghz Pentium M SSE2 compatible 512MB (256MB x2 @ 533mhz) RAM 128mb Intel 915GM/GMS, 910GML Express Chipset These are the specs of my desktop: 2.8ghz Pentium 4 HT SSE2 compatible 1GB (512MB x2 @ 400mhz) RAM 256MB ATI Radeon 9550 Is my laptop just not capable of running leopard? Or am I doing something wrong? I'm really sorry if this problem has been solved and I should have just searched more; but this has been frustrating because this did not work with 10.4.6 tiger as well. Can anyone help me out? Thanks, much appreciated. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/120111-help-on-installing-iatkos-on-dell-d610/ Share on other sites
burningh20
press "F8" or "tab" during cdrom boot to get to console boot loader options and try typing: cpus=1 -x -v root=hd(0,0) Also, plug a external vga monitor to the external vga port to trick out the video.
