So ive tried to install leopard os x86 different versions

still no luck

some reason it still ends up at the nfs_boot Kernel panic even though it finds the hard drive boot disk

i tried a sata cd drive and ide and still no difference and i have no i have no IDE drive

Oh yes im running on a Striker Extreme with the 680i NForce *ugh*

ive got the most success with kalyway 10.5.2 leopard disc but still same nfs_boot panic

it cant seem to boot the hard drive, ive tried the USB drive too

ah forgot to say ive tried -v cpus=1 -legacy

only one that helps is rd=disk0

any help would be good

thanks you!! :dev:

Hi there

For Intel CPU and nForce chipset MOBOs check out the excellent threads by Mysticus C* http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=87901

and http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=109102

If you follow Mysticus C*'s guides carefully they should get you going OK...his guides and updater packages have got me up to running 10.5.4 on a 650i MOBO with a Q6600..... :)

A key point will be whether or not you have a SATA or PATA DVDRW as the former may cause problems.....But if you need further clarification on each step read the Kalyway 10.5.2 (IMHO the preferred choice because of giving no SUIDs errors) and iATKOSv2.0i 10.5.2 install guides in my blog......other forum readers and members have posted saying that it helped them install OS X successfully.....both Kalyway 10.5.2 (see here posts by icemantaz) and iATKOS v2.0i 10.5.2 (see posts here on pages 81 and 82 by sQuadron)...... :)

thanks haxi, ive done it carefully and still gets stuck on " NFS_BOOT: " error

i even tried it through my FW iPod and USB Drive

the driver reconises "Found boot device" But for some reason it goes to network boot

ive tried it on VMware and gives the same error

thanks

I presume you have checked all BIOS settings to enable SATA and IDE properly.......perhaps your particular SATA HDD device ID is not in the nforceata driver.....as some have reported the same problem with different systems using Leo4Allv3 and with iATKOSv4 but had no problem with kalyway 10.5.1 and 10.5.2.....I would refer the question to MYsticus C* to see if he has ever come across it before..... :P

Did you ever get this solved? If so, what did you do? Thanks!
