  1. AHH nfs_boot kernel panic

Did you ever get this solved? If so, what did you do? Thanks!
  2. 2009 Live DVD

Hi, Am I correct in my understanding that this requires that I already have OSX86 installed? Is there a way of using this to install 10.5.6 on a blank drive? I've been trying to use IPC version with PPFs 1 and 2 but still get the 'waiting for boot device' no matter what I do. If this requires a working installed system, then I can't do it because I only have Vista 64 working at this point. Thanks!
  3. Installing on Dell Inspiron 530

Hi, I was using the install by mystius C on InsanelyMac.com, of Leopard. Since I was using the vanilla kernel just fine, I thought I could download and use Apple's 10.5.6 combo update. I did look at some of the forums and followed instructions to create the DSDT file, and yet my system now crashes. I am proficient with computers but a noob at this, and made the stupid mistake of only having everything backed up through Time Machine. So I cannot boot now. I can get past the hang where it says "waiting for root device" by naming the drive when the chamelon / darwin loader starts up, but then I get a kernel panic I don't understand. I wish I could take something like iAtkos i5 and install it over my current non-functional installation. Could I try this? Since I can no longer load OSX, I can access the OSX startup drive only through MacDrive while I'm in my Vista installation. Is there anyone who can help me? I'd be happy to take a screen shot of the kernel panic, or follow any other instructions... would prefer to not have to start all over and do not have experience with whether Time Machine can fully bring me back to where I was before the 10.5.6 Combo Update. I have Time Machine use a separate drive though. My computer is a Dell 530 Intel Core 2 Quad with 6 G of Ram, and my OS X86 is on a separate internal hard drive. Thanks! Andrew
  4. Hope someone or Mr. M could reply to this. It is still the logmein issue. Thanks!
  5. Thanks I'm using the Mac Pro smbios option... from the post install pack v 1.2.0 Should I use the smbios resolver if I'm not using vanilla kernel? I'm using 9.4.0 StageXNU Kernel. Thanks!
  6. Thanks for replying. I've determined it has to do with AppleSMBios problems: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...&hl=logmein But I tried that suggestion and it didn't seem to work. Is there anything I can do with your post-install program that would use a different AppleSMBios? Thanks!
  7. Anyone find a solution for Logmein being greyed out and not connecting? Andy.
  8. Response to post 1916 Ok, sorry for being unclear. I did not write down all the options I selected so I'll do my best on that. Chipset: Intel P35/G33/G31 - chose "just restore" that's what I meant by "original." My bad. Kernel: 9.4.0 StageXNU I first chose HDA Audio but when it didn't work, I re-ran the post-install program and chose "just restore audio." Network - Just restore - as I said my intel pro lan doesn't work even with posted fixes so I put a different card in that works. I think I used the USB Controller fix but I'm not recalling. How can I check somehow on this? The second time I ran the post-install I unchecked the AppleACPI options. And the DSMOS fix, of course. Hope that gives you what you were looking for. Thanks, Andy

  10. Hey. Even for a relative noob it worked great! I intend to send you a contribution! A couple remaining issues: Logmein Free does not seem to work. Its icon stays greyed out and won't enable. Also, my cursor has a little additional line, at least here in Firefox 3 in this forum. Any ideas/suggestions? I will gladly send you any info you need to help with this. Andy
  11. Samsung NC10 UK revision

Hi. I cannot find or see the 'customize' option in installer when installing the post combo update. It just installed. Is there something more I need to do? If I restart and it is messed up because I could not customize, will there be anything I can do to fix the problem? Thanks! Well... I force quit installer so I didn't have to restart. Did the first two steps again and then the third and now see the install button (I also downloaded it again from a different mirror. So, I hope that I've not messed it up. Will now customize and reboot. Thanks!
