hackintosh1800s
Here goes. I cannot install kalaway. I have a Asus p5kpl-vm, with a e8400 3ghz, 2 gigs ram, 250 sata drive with windows, 40gb ide drive for mac os and ide dvd drive and Nvidia 8600GT 512mb by XFX. Here is what happens, I boot from the dvd, then i go into disk utilities. I format the 40gb as mac os extended. Then, i go into partitions, select 1 partition, full size, and make sure it is in MBR, since this is a whole drive to mac and I can dual boot from bios ( selecting primary boot drive). I hit okay. Done. I then go into installation. I select vanilla kernel with both options checked off, azilla audio, nothing for network, nvinject desktop and bootloader mbr. I install. It installs fine, the computer reboots. White screen, apple logo, spin spin spin, freeze. What am I doing wrong? Is it something to do with the vanilla kernel selection? The read me is not in proper english so i have a hard time getting what the heck it is talking about with the vanilla kernel selection. Sigh. Is it my bios settings? Anyone else running this machine setup that can chime in? is it the sata drive? c0rk007hck
Boot with cpus=1, do a combo update, and boot without cpus=1. If won't work please boot -v and post your error. If u're using laptop, add an external monitor to see your desktop .
