So I finally fixed the jmicron problem by patching my DVD, now I finally booted off the DVD and everything was going smoothly. I deleted my Vista partition, and made 2 partitions in GUID mode, Mac OSX Journaled.

I selected all the right components, started installing, and it got stuck at the begining where it says "estimating time left"

And it always gets stuck there. I burnt the DVD at the lowest speed possible, and verified it after burning it with Nero.

Any ideas? This really sucks because now I'm using ubuntu until I get to fix this.

my asus x50vl stuck too

log's part

PROBLEM SOLVED

I had 4gb of memory, removed one stick, install went through smoothly with 2 gb, then I added back the 2nd stick.

Everything works swimmingly

now if anyone knows how to make the front audio ports work that would be great.
