shordinges Posted August 8, 2008 Share Posted August 8, 2008 well i finnaly got my evga 780i to install kalyway 10.5.2. ran into alot of problems but by disableing firewire in bios and typing "-v -f nforcekernel" finally got it to install. total install took roughly 6 hours but it finnished. when i rebooted the computer after install i got the welcome video PLUS sound. i heard that it is rare to get the sound with it first try. but when i get to the register screen where i have to enter names, emails and phone numbers the mouse wont respond after being at that screen for 5 seconds. the keyboard wont type anything either. even before the installation in the disk utilities when formating the hdd and partitioning the keyboard didnt work (but mouse did). i have tried everything from wireless usb to wired ps2 in both keyboard and mouse. i dont understand why the mouse will work up till that point. if there is any way to fix please let me knoe. i would rather not have to reinstall kalyway just because it took over 6 hours to install. thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/119901-i-got-780i-to-work-but-keyboardmouse-dont-work/ Share on other sites More sharing options...
