Well for those who have got Dual booting working with Vista/XP and OS X . they must have hard drives formatted to NTFS . I have vista and OS X dual boot enabled. While in Leopard i cant search for thing which are in NTFS partitions i have 3-4 NTFS formatted drives . Any hack on how to have Leopard Spotlight enable indexing NTFS ( FAT32 as well ) partitions.

I use Vista search very often . i tend to do similar in Leopard from spotlight but The search is not complet . spotlight searches good only in Leopard Installed Drive ( HFS )

I use Paragon's NTFS for mac which makes NTFS partitions writable in Mac. And what about FAT32 partitions .. Can even serach in FAT32 partitions of mine from spotlight ( it searches some recetly visited files/foders in FAT32 but the search is not as detail as it is with the Leopard Partition )

If you hae read and write acces just type:

sudo mdutil -i on /Volume/the Name of the Volume

...in my case it was sudo mdutil -i on /Volume/Media

I applied sudo mdutil -i on /Volumes/Vista, and did on another NTFS Volumes, but Spotlight ran very slow after that. The harddisk led indicator appeared continously.
