versus51
Hi All, I managed to get Leopard partially working with some minor problems that I find a tad bit annoying. One of the main things is loosing internet connection after resuming from Sleep. I read in another article that this can be fixed by connecting to DHCP manually, but how exactly do you do that? I have Kalyway 10.5.2 installed and did a Combo Update to 10.5.3, then finally a software update via Apple to 10.5.4 if this helps (I'm using the Vanilla Kernel 9.3 by the way). My on-board network is RealTek* RTL8101E/8111B Ethernet LAN Controller. And also, is it safe to install the Securty Update 2008-005 that appears on the Software Update? Thanks very much in advance. - versus51 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/119563-no-network-after-sleep-and-security-update-2008-005/ Share on other sites
versus51
Nevermind about the network question, I managed to figure it out. I just set the configuration to Manual and filled in fields with everything that was listed in the DHCP. Then network would work after waking from sleep. Now that leaves it to whether installing the Security Update 2008-005 or not. Any suggestions? There's also a restart problem I have, this happens when I manually restart or if a application asks for restart. I see my wallpaper and the boot up wheel near center of screen, then it just keeps on spinning and hangs there. I read up on this and it seems like there's no fix for it yet.
