pahncrd
Alright, so everything has been working pretty well except for one niggling issue that refuses to be quashed. Occasionally (usually while playing World of Warcraft, but not always), my network connection will stop and my mouse will stop moving. My mouse will occasionally move, but it is very erratic. The cursor will jump around quickly and sometimes even reverse the axis (up is down et cetera...). If I sleep the computer and wake it up, most of the time, it fixes the issue. I have been trying to deal with this bug for almost two weeks and it is driving me nuts. I have done a lot of searching on the subject and I cannot find anything specifically related to my problem. My mouse is an mx518 logitech mouse, and the rest of my system is in my signature. I am using steermouse software, but the issue started before using it. Please help me, I have no desire to use vista anymore for anything except directx games. pahncrd
Also, the problem persisted from 10.5.2 - 10.5.4. The update fixed some bugs, but that last one remains. Also, thought my ram says 4gb, i am actually running 2gb via he maxmem command. duppa
that is a 680i nforce chipset correct??? anyways im using a 680i chipset (asus striker extreme) and I too am having the same problem. System will be fine for 2-4 hrs (random really) then the mouse will stop functioning and network support dies out (using a seperate pci lan card). The only way around this at this time (if there is another way someone please fill us in) is to boot with cpus=1 and not using all of your cores but by doing that i lose the capability to use the AFP protocol qand stream video to my xbox via connect360 or rivet Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/119489-one-last-problem-preventing-a-100-stable-system/#findComment-847222 Share on other sites
