mgaudu
Hi Im tring to install iAtkos v4 on my ASUS A series Specs: Nvidia GeForce 7700, 120gb hdd, 2gb ddr2, Intel core 2 duo T7200 2.0gb, stock bios, and the chipset is a mobil intel 945GM/GM/940ML(according to the intel chipset identifier tool) So on to the issue. I partitioned the drive so that there was the recovery partition, XP on roughly 90gb, and the rest of the fre space for OSx. I used partition magic to do so and i made the partition a primary NTFS format. After that I made it that active partition. Then after rebooting and inserting the iAtkos v4 disk i pressed F8 and used the -v flag. there is one error after about 10 seconds of going through the script that says "ERROR: Firewire unable to determain security mode; defaulting to full-secure" I didnt really pay attention to it and after about a minute or so the installer finally opened. I went to disk utilities and formated the drive to Extended(journaled) and selected it. from there I didnt change any one the items in the customize menu and the install finished. So from there i restarted and took the disk out and let it run byitself. well i got to the grey apple screen with the spinning wheel and get the message "you need to restart your computer. press and hold the power botton for several seconds" so i ddint then i let it boot the loader again but this time i used -v to start it only to get different set of messages(see attachment). Can someone please help Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/119484-issues-with-install-on-asus-a-series/ Share on other sites
